Along with your older clone, a mysterious reporter, and another genetically engineered pony you have made your way to the roof of the 26 floor facility where you are planning on escaping from the facility automated security which aims to contain you for the rest of your unnatural life. Can you escape? Can you find something to expose the company who built this facility? Those questions and more will be answered with your choices!Currently EquippedPeppermint security uniform shirt, crowbar, .308 rifle (10 rounds)Spearmint: t-shirtFlushbolt: Makeshift satchel, knife, crowbarPhotobomb: Hoodie, flak jacket, bolt-cutter, Shotgun(5 shells)Current supplies: Peppermint: ID badge for security guard Steak Styles, Francis Boomer t. You look around the cold dark server room and see several creatures stalking around in the dark. You can't make them out, but you see movement, which is enough to put you on edge. taking a deep breath you step into the room as the cold bites through your short coat of hair to kiss your skin. You make your way over to what looks like a corpse, as you approach you realize that it is actually hollow. This isn't a body it's a molted shell. As you inspect the arthropod casing you hear something moving next to you. Snapping to attention you swing the gun off your back and aim the business end in the direction of the sound. As your heart prepares to jump out of your chest you slowly calm down after you see that the movement is from one of those mollusks that Spearmint was using for food when you met her. >Your body still locked in a pouncing stance you snap your head back as Photobomb asks, "Pepper? Are you okay?""Yeah... just fine.">"Look, I know you want to help me prove this place is here but, maybe we can just, get out of here. I mean isn't surviving much more important than Looking for Information?""PB, this place it probably safer than anywhere else in here. I mean, somepony is gonna have to watch Spear while somepony else helps me look for a hard drive or something but...">"Pepper, we don't know what's on these drives, and unless you want to find a portable drive and something that's still working in there, we're probably going to just have to steal some random drives.""But PB! What about your story!? THIS is what you came here for! Flush do you remember any specific rooms?">"Not really," Flushbolt admits, "It was never an important thing to pay attention to.">"Pepper, it's fine if we come back empty hooved. I mean, we might need to live off of instant noodles for a while, while I write some fluff piece for a lifestyle site. I mean, I guess I could do a piece on desert camping. or Saddle Arabian hotels, point is, if we just get out I'm sure we'll get by.
>>30916433I feel we should try it, but not yet. I want to ask what Flush's skill is. From what he said about the queen's recruitment process, it seems all of us have some specialization after all.
>>30916521Also, we should try to avoid using our gun so close to where the others sleep.
>>30916433We should try to look while we are here. What if patwrite comes after us after all maybe some evidence of the truth could keep us safe.
>>30916433is there any indicators or signs affiliated with the various rooms?
>>30916521>>30916527>>30916539>>30916685As you continue to hold the gun you realize that somepony of something, might hear if you start shooting. You slowly turn around, lowering your gun."PB, I think we should still try. I don't know if I've told you tis, but I'm worried about what Patwrite might do after we escape. I wanna have leverage. Something that we can use to keep them from hunting us down to keep their secret."PB sort of diverts her gave fro you."Flushbolt? are you sure you can't remember any of the room's labels?">Flushbolt sighs, "There's a bunch of rooms back there, and they've been darks since I was able to get in. This data core mostly looks the same from room to room, besides, do you even know what you're looking for?""Something okay! We need something! any sort of proof!">Well what about these towers here?" PB asks, I mean, aren't these part of the datacore? can't we take some of the drives from these?">"Flushbolt looks between the two of you and shrugs, "I don't know what any of this actually is besides servers and data-banks.""But, we need to find something usable... Maybe there's a machine still on inside...">"Then what? do we keep plugging in drives and looking at them until we find what you want? We don't even know if there's power in this section. The generator near here blew up, remember?""But....">"Pepper, if you really want to go looking in there, I'll go with you." PB offers.
>>30916816I know it's kinda out of place, but I still want to figure our what Flush can do.

I think you just have to cut the power and pull the plugs out but... what if there's something more?"Both PB and Flushbolt look at each other as you shiver in the frigid room.>"I don't know much about computers." PB admits.>"Me neither." Flush adds."but..." You mind is so full of, general clutter, you can't help but feel guilty about tricking spear as you watch her slump over on the wall, as her eyes are slowly closing, and you're still not sure what you can trust Flushbolt to do. and PB won't tell you where to find the information you both need. You dig your hooves into the icy floor as you watch your breath escape your mouth."Guyssss....."You whine. "I just want to know what to do! I wanna make things right, I wanna know how to help, why doesn't anypony have the answers!">"Peppermint? do you need a moment? You're getting really hung up on this." PB asks."I just... I don't know what to do!">"Hey, why don't we get out of the cold and shut the door?" Flushbolt suggests, "I think we just need to make a new plan. I mean, we want to get to the other hanger and look for a good vehicle right? and you also want some info, for your friend's story?""Yes, That's why we need to look in here!">"So what if this is the wrong place to look. maybe, the data-core is a long shot for finding information you can use and we might find something better somewhere else.""Like where though!?">"I don't know, maybe the visitor dorms... but I guess the queen's ponies stay there... or maybe there's something in the hanger!.. or just in the halls, I don't know."
Stopping here for the night, to give you guys time to think. We're kinda caught in a loop and it might be just better to let the thread soak for ideas. In the meantime, if there is non spoiler information you want from me to help you with your plan let me know and I'll either dig it up or give you a brief rundown of it to help, so we're stuck in a rut.
>>30917195Visitor dorms would only help if there was somebody important here just before everything went crazy and the hangars are most likely only going to have vehicles and related tech. If we exclude the data core due to a lot of unknown variables, the only surefire option would be to go back down and find a major scientist's office. If we aren't going to be able to come up with a plan soon, than we should just find someplace safe to hide while we wait for Spear to recover. But than we also have to worry about Speckles freeing herself and coming back to alert the others about our presence and plans. Why couldn't there just be a functioning computer with a removable drive right next to the door.
>>30917195our option is either to explore the rest of datacore or go back downstairs to a office.is the other hanger empty and safe enough to hide spear and someone else for the time being?

>>30917211Hey bath. I'd just like to say thanks for running. I only follow two quests and both are yours, so it's always a cool day when you run.On a semi related note, how close is the world in 11-54 to semantic error? Like, if we expose patwrite and ruin their company, does the robot factory in semantic error close down? Because while I want justice for mints of all sizes, I really like the stuff patwrite makes.
>>30920079While I'm not Bath I'd imagine that if the story of Tabuck came out things would be tied up in courts and inquiries for several years. So chances are it might not impact that factory much in the short term.
>>30917484This Anon is correct, the laptop was left behind since it was too bulky and would have to be carried by hoof, same with the crank powered radio/flashlight combo. I messed up on a couple of inventory lists in the past, but the one in this thread I think is the most accurate, so right now it's what I'm considering your actual inventory. Keep in mind that most of this junk is shoved into shirts for carrying.>>30918475I think that you were told that the queen blew it up while in a fight with the facility security systems. >>30920902yeah we were told that. I guess what I was trying to ask is if the emp wave of the blast simply knocked things out or fried the whole thing. But I guess you probably can't say much in that regard.
>>30920988The broken power core was partially destroyed in an explosion, and currently has a big hole cut out of the actual generator, as well as missing several of the crystalline generator fins. There are 4 power cores in the facility including the broken one that the facility repair systems are currently trying to restore. What you're seeing in this picture is the power core generator's main shaft
>>30920954Wow, I didn't expect for these quests to be happening at the same time. I wonder if the quests will be able to interact considering how far apart they're occurring.
>>30920954Oh Peebs, I understand. I wonder how she feels about at ayys Bump.
So we need to come up with a plan. I think someone else should do it since I'm half way to shitfaced on moonshine, but since little story talk is happening I guess I'll throw my 2 cents in to get the ball rolling. Is it possible that Pepper and Spear might serve as proof enough that shit is happening here? It must be possible to test that we're clones. Our genetics are probably a perfect match and I don't even think twins can be that similar. At the same time, we have PB's photos. Maybe we should just say screw it and book out of here. Or could we just grab some harmless engineered life form like the ones Spear would eat? That might be enough to raise eyebrows on the outside.Or we could always forget about screwing Patwrite and just live well once on the outside.
>>30922952PB's photos were lost with her camera and using ourself as proof might lead to a dissection table. Also, the other creatures were monsters native to wherever the crystals came from. The only good evidence at this point are documents, physical or digital, or the false alicorn herself. Though we might be able to prove something fishy is going on if we escape in some ridiculous war machine, but that wouldn't be any evidence towards their biological experiments.
>>30917211>>30917195if the other hanger is safe and secure enough to stay a bit we might go grab up a bunch of drives that seem functional and go back for that laptop and test a few to see if they work. Otherwise we might just need to storm a office or two and grab some hard files.
>>30920954>>30922952Sooo how bout we just go get that laptop... actually, that was a laptop from a crate of laptops? That's also a shot in the dark, unless we go the whole make a deal with the A.I. route. But those gus are buttsnags, so...I got nothing.Let's just look around a little at least. In the data bank that is.Maybe hole up somewhere safe and timeskip to when Spear isn't drunk or hungover? Is that cheating, that's probably cheating.
>>30923210Maybe the data we need is in Bioprocessing. The AI think we're going to go sabotage it anyways. If I remember correctly, we would still need to sneak by the Alicorn and her guards but maybe that's better than searching random drives. Unless someone has an idea on where to start or how to search the random drives from the data servers. Are we just gonna ctrl-f search for buzzwords like "warbeast"?Actually, maybe searching the data servers for the name of the scientist that built/tested us would be a good idea. Grabbing the laptop and searching drives has my vote.
>>30923210Actually, making a deal with the A.I. would make for an interesting opportunity. We could force it to recover and replace our lost supplies, including PB's camera, before we help him. But, we double-cross him and use the all access pass he'll give us as an opportunity for PB to get some more photos. Still a very risky and time consuming plan, but we shouldn't disregard options until we settle on an actual plan.
>>30921078>>30923278Got mine too, that seems reasonable. We were a little afraid the robutts were going to find us there, I think that was mostly paranoia though. Either way, we might need to find a place to rest and sober up, and it was somewhat safe in that general area. The only other thing I can think of, besides abandoning the search for proof altogether, is trying to get PBs camera back from that creep, but that's just more wandering around. >>30923210Baff this was me too so don't double count my vote if it comes to that.
>>30917195Ask Flush what role did the queen's followers feel he best fit in?Also Ask if anyone frequently visits the other hanger and if there is a safe place to rest/camp in there.
>>30917195Ask the others how they feel. Don't they think getting some proof is a good idea at least as a precaution? I mean sure escape with our lives intact is the most important but what about afterwards? Tell me PB has Patwrite been known to go after ponies? any stories of cover ups?
>>30917252>>30922952>>30923138>>30923186>>30923278>>30923680>>30923733You huff as the cold continues to sting your body."Don't any of you want to find proof!? even if it's just, a precaution?">"Oh course I do Pepper, but, I don't know if looking for some working equipment in there is worth it.""What if we just go get the laptop back and bring it back up here?">"Can we even plug the drives into the laptop?" Flush asks.>"We haven't really looked at one yet." PB adds.>"Pepper, what if we just can't get any computer information out?" Flushbolt asks, "Is there something else you can think of that will work?""Well..."You consider this. of course bringing machinery wouldn't be very useful since most of it is probably common outside but maybe you could capture one of the prototype creatures. It would be hard to say they don't exist if you bring one with you. Of course, a portion of the creatures loose in the facility are from some place outside so, you'd have to be careful capturing one that is unique to his facility."What if we bring one of the monsters with us? Like this one, Spear taught me how to eat these.">"Would that work?" Flushbolt asks.>"Well, yeah. I could get plenty of pictures of it if we brought something with us. Really, it doesn't even need to be alive."You take a step back into the cold room. Pointing at the edible creature, you ask, "PB, do you have these outside?">"I don't think so, PB responds.""Okay, we can get one of them easy, but I kinda want to find a smaller one. But I still want to look in here for something good!">"Pepper, are you sure you want to explore in there, we could just take a drive from the machines close by still," PB asks.Spearmint mumbles something with her eyes closed.
>>30923950Do you think they'd be the same type of drive? Alright let's grab a closer one and inspect if has a decent connector port to it.
>>30923950Fuck it, lets just go to the nearest tower and grab a drive to inspect it. Broken or not! I'm getting sick and tired of talking in circles about this.
>>30923950Let's just grab one drive from the nearest tower and go.
>>30923950Don't take one take a handful in case we cannot return later.
>>30923950let's just explore it real quickly. the data core can't be that big and if one is functioning it should have some lights on it right?
>>30923950if we are going to do this we should be through about this. explore the rest of data core because we might not have another chance. Feel free to take a couple that are near us now though.
>>30923950check on Spear. what is she mumbling about? Also if we can't open the drive maybe someone on the outside could eventually get to the files. someone good with computers.
>>30923950just how big are these drives? Check on spear.PB if we captured something alive or dead do you think the right ponies will believe it?
>>30923989>>30924006>>30924030>>30924052>>30924169>>30924214You're getting tired of just talking in circles, so you finally dislodge one of the racks from the towers with your crowbar and open it up.Inside you find what you believe are the dives."Photobomb, if we did bring back one of the monsters, do you really think the right ponies would believe us?">"Pepper, to be honest, for this kinda stuff, there's usually less evidence than that of this kind of stuff existing. Of course that could be governments hiding the truth from the public to maintain control of the masses.""You really think the government would do that?">"Well, somepony kept this place secret. who knows what else is kept covered up. Things that the public needs to know about!" PB says with a lot more excitement in her voice than you're used to.>Photobomb seems to catch herself and sits back down, "But, I guess it might be just this. who knows."a silence awkwardly washes over your group and you listen to Spearmint mumble something about hiding in vents and being alone.Looking at the individual drives, they are a little big, but not unbearably so. You could probably manage to take 8 to 10 of them between all of you minus Spearmint. Something that worries you is that there seems to be a layer of frost that has gotten onto the drives. You're not sure how delicate they are, so you're not sure if they are damaged, what's worse is that you don't think you remember any ports like the ones connected to the drives on the laptop you played with.>"Do you still want to go in there?" Flushbolt asks, "I mean, if you want to get one of the creatures, there are plenty all over up here. But I guess if you want to try to find something functioning in there, one of us could go with you. I just don't want to be up here too long." "Where else can we go?">"Well, there's a rout through a bit of the dorms that we can get to the hanger 2 through. Also there's a storage area and an Ops if we go a different way."
>>30924375Break open a drive to see what kind of internal damage it might have. If they're disk drives and were fried by an emp, than there should be some visible burns.
>>30924375the storage area and ops. Are they occupied by any monsters or robots? are they regularly visited by the other bioform ponies?
>>30924375What should we do if we do run into one of the queen followers? Is there something we can do to hide PB's cutie mark? I kinda want to avoid fighting all of them if possible. Is the dorm area we'd have to cut through occupied by a lot by them if you remember?
>>30924375Drives connect internally so we'd either need an adapter from an I.T. department, which might be just off this room, or we need to open p a working computer and plug it in that way.
>>30924375>>30924445To expand on this what should we expect from them if we run into them. Are they all going to be hyper suspicious like Speckles?
>>30924375That was nice PB, I liked seeing you get excited about what you believe in. It's important to have something like that to keep you fighting. As for the rest of this, let's just take as many drives as we can, grab a critter and go. We should go...um.. whatever way this guy picks, he knows what he's doing ↓
>>30924375Aw, PB, don't be ashamed for being exited about something you care about. I don't even know what I like or should be exited for, but I intend to find out and I want everyone else here to have that same opportunity.
>>30924375Ask flush which he thinks would be safer.
>>30924375>But I guess if you want to try to find something functioning in there, one of us could go with you. I just don't want to be up here too long." sure let's go back in there and no we won't take long.
We need power!
>>30924375Whats at the storage and ops? Anything interesting? Also, I think we should try sneaking past the dorms into hanger 2. Is there some kind of sleep schedule the queens servants adhere to? I know daytime in this place is almost irrelevant, but it would be easier if we snuck by when most servants are asleep or distracted. Or we might be able to try the ventilation system.Or course, for us to make any escape attempts we need Spear to be functional at the very least...
>>30924404>>30924412>>30924445>>30924471>>30926330"Flush, will the queen's ponies be patrolling areas other than the dorms and hanger 1 like the ops, the storage and the other hanger?">"Yes...""What should we expect from them if we run into any?">"I really don't want to think about that.""Well, what should we do if they see PB or her cutimark. I mean, what would they do if they sa her?">"I don't know exactly what they'll do but it's nothing good. I don't even think they'll react well to your older clone there. ...and if the queen gets a hold of me... We just, really really need to avoid them okay.""Are they all as devout and paranoid as 08-42?">"For the most part. I don't know, some of us were more rational, but a lot of us were as unhinged as your clone.... Sister, or they are worse. I'm not even really sure. It's kinda hard to get a good gauge on who's mentally okay. Well, if anypony is really.>"So, do we shoot first then?" PB asks with a grimace, "I mean. I don't think I can. I mean... before this, I don't think I've even held a gun before, much less.">"Just hope we sneak around them okay, It's going to be more trouble than it's worth dealing with any of them. Especially our Queen herself."Critical decision: Are you going into the data core to look around? If so, are you taking PB or Flush? If not, what area are you heading to?
>>30929919Also if you're exploring the data core , choose what equipment to take with you.
>>30929919Data core, Flush comes, PB stays with drinky pone. We look for anything with a label, if there are no labels we look for the big server with the backup drives attached to it, we take the backup drives (or tapes). Avoid using guns but be on the offensive.
>>30929919PB is willing but has little combat exsperience. Flush has plenty of exsperience but doesn't want to go. If Flush really doesn't want to go than we can't stop him. And to solve the cutiemark issue we can use some old bandages to cover them up, tear up some clothes as they are only for aesthetics and serve no combat use, or go back to the robots and see if we can persuade a roll or two of bandages from them. Can Flush remember if there were any other experiments that looked like PB that wasn't part of the Queen's entourage? Maybe she could pretent to be one.
>>30929919I want to go bacl and quickly grab a few exoskeletons and text the durability of them by either hitting them against the wall or smacking them with the crowbar. I want to see if we can make primitive filly sized armor that's held together by cables found in the walls or that one computer.
>>30929919I think we should go in with PB since if Spear is found Flush may have a better chance of talking them both out of any trouble than PB would. Let's just take out crowbar and gun with us.
>>30929919let's go into Datacore but is there a spot where two can stay that isn't the middle of the hall?
>>30929919>>30930166Ok, I change my vote from this post >>30930004to PB, that makes sense, let's do this already.
>>30930004>>30930006>>30930166>>30930243>>30930311"Well, let's all be careful. Flush, stay here and watch Spear. Photobomb and I will be back soon.">Photobomb gives the shotgun to Flushbolt, "Keep her safe."Opening the door and stepping into the cold data-core, you and Photobomb begin your slow crawl through the stacks of electronics. You notice that the various creatures in here are moving much slower than usual but much faster than you would expect from anything cold-blooded in these temperatures.>"Well, nothing's chewing on us." PB remarks with a whisper."Good, I hope it stays that way.">"I guess you have more experience with that. Really it was just that telepathic thing... and those things scratching me with the long noses.""Yeah, I guess.">"Pepper?""Yes?">"If I don't make it... You know, I wish I could tell you where to go or what to do after getting out of here, but I don't think you'd know where to find stuff, do you. Sorry, never mind."You reach the end of the first room and walk though a door.Ahead of you you see a doorway on the other end of the room as well as a door to the right of the room you came in with a sign that says Artificial Intelligence backup. Due to the darkness, you can't quite make out the sign at the other end of the room.
>>30930489I doubt A.I. programming would offer much useful evidence.
>>30930489make note of it and see what the other door sign says.Tell her that is there anyone she trusts or respects in the outside world that she thinks could help us if we got in touch with them? Also assure her that we'd do all that we can to make sure she will make it.
>>30930489>>30930535Yea, probably not, let's check that other door, cautiously. If it seems safe lets head in.>>30930568This too
>>30930489I'll make sure you and everyone get out of here. It's not like I won't come back or anything. Heh.Anywho there enough electric parts in here. To make an EMP? We need to make a thick copper ring, a power source, and a switch. So we can't read the sign at the end of the room, and we have to work with limited viability. That's just dandy. I wish we could had disassembled the radio and attach the flashlight to a helmet. Sadly we don't have one. Oh well. If you can tell me where to find what I will leave you to rust in this place instead of shutting you down!">"If you continue what you're doing neither of us will know the answer to that question."You manage to cut through the rest of the cords as a drone reaches though the doorway. As you do, the power to the drone is cut and you hear some of the whirring of machines shut down.>"Good job cutting the power to the floor. >>30965199I think PB looks a little scared back there.that does not mean that the disks themselves are unreadable now. it just means you can't read them. they should be safe to remove and scanned elsewhere. maybe by a ai that doesn't want to arrest us as thanks.

>>30965586My personal plan was to just tell it about our mission and convince it to confirm with the Superintendent AI and than make a request for whatever information we could get under the pretext that it'd be critical to completing that mission. I also already thought of arguements for useful information. But it seems that telling blatant lies and throwing a tantrum while breaking random stuff won out. Now the only reasonable option is to search elsewhere for useful information like offices for major members of the staff or praying for a miracle that there is something useful in the visitors areas.

The bio-luminescent creature couldn't have been more than 300 pounds. and 300 pounds is still a bit on the high side of the scale for it.In addition, She's not strong enough to flatten metal just with her telekinesis at present. unless she somehow finds a way to draw from a very strong power source it's not gonna happen. Also, the crowbar is much more useful at a tool that you can pry things with than a spike. Also, I think I'm going to stop for the night.

>>30978273I feel like we should split up, but I can't logically find a reason to support that decision over sticking together, since splitting up is what caused Spearmint and Flushbolt to get captured in the first place.I can't decide which is the safer option for PB.If we knew for certain what the Queen's ponies would do with PB if they found her, then it'd probably be an easier decision. If we knew they'd just capture her and take her to the Queen, then splitting would probably be the safer option, but if they jump straight to killing, then sticking together might actually be the safer option.
>>30978273should we have pb give us the thermite and nitrate? just in case we need to blow someone up or make a speedy new exit?unless pb knows how to use the stuff and might need it for the hanger and/or drones.

>>30978582I think that would be categorized under "jump straight to killing," since they likely wouldn't just shoot at her for no reason unless they intended to kill her.
>>30978273let's have them stick together. if we are together and find the others we can quickly escape without searching for the other. and if we did end up captured maybe Pepper could vouch for PB to the others.

Also, believing that we can get it done by just flipping a switch is a delusional level of optimism.Data on bioforms: We are undoubtedly going to come into contact with hostile bioforms and possessing more knowledge about them can greatly increase our odds.Clasified information: The reason the information is classified is to prevent data leaks, but that can't possibly happen due to the facts that all means of communication with the outside world is blocked and the only realistic way out of the facility is through the ground floor and the AI that is in absolute control of it.Portable terminal: Impossible to reliably memorize information in a short amount of time and we are in VERY hostile territory.

You're not sure how useful things will be as you enter the hanger but you might as well. While searching you find, a kneaded eraser, a decade old package of gum, an electric razor, an emergency lantern with lamp oil (bulky item), a hoof-care file, a clock radio, a subwoofer(bulky item), another bolt cutter, some wires you could rip out of he wall, and a hibachi grill(bulky item). While poking around you find a vent you could access by ripping the grate off with your crowbar in both the main hallway and one of the side rooms.Suddenly you hear something coming towards you outside of the room you're poking around in. you snuff the light from your horn and sit as quietly as possible.Soon you see a light walking by that you later find out is being projected by a unicorn.>You hear one of them say, "...I mean if I found them I would have tried out the gun for a while before giving it over," as they walk by.>"I know, I haven't touched one of those since we were freed," the other answers. While they pass you focus on something in a stack of rubble... It looks like a small hoof-gun...You blink a few times. Yeah, you think it's a gun. You really want to check it out but, you stay still as the ponies continue to pass by. Of course, if it has ammo you could always just hide it where you can find it, in case you have to pick it up on your way out if you end up having to run out of there. Actually, come to think of it, should you bring any weapons with you. You guess you might be able to pass off the crowbar as a tool for opening rooms, if you're trying to be diplomatic... do you want to try diplomacy? You're not even sure really.

It's not hard to believe that given the type of hell this place is that a pony would be carrying a gun for protection. However the ponies might try to disarm her so it might be wise to hide it somewhere.I do believe we should try diplomacy if possible though being undetected might be our best shot until we know for sure if they have flush and spear.

>>30980840Fortunately for me James Brown Funk is one of the easier to depict, as it consists of a 1970's business suit adorned with a minimal amount of funk imbued talismans and trinkets. Unlike the funkidelic nature of the bright and colorful styling of P-Funk due to it's intergalactical origins or the much more subtle and urban look of the Eisley funk and easier to grip than a hybrid such as the Rick James funk. Of course if we wanted to 63 the keeper we could always delve into the territory of Maryjane Girls or Brides of Dr. Funkinstine, Funk, but even then it's generally just the gendered applications of a different style of funk already covered by one of the previous categories.

After you're sure they're out of earshot you check the gun, and find that not only does it function, but is is loaded with 6 bullets in the magazine. Unfortunately you also notice that the slide sticks a bit, which is a bad sign. After inspecting your new firearm, you stash it in your shirt and pick up the bolt cutters, and clock radio. You then use the bolt cutters to quietly remove some wiring from the building. You then wrap the wires with the cord of the clock radio and tie it around yourself before tying the bolt cutters, crowbar and gun to yourself.with your new sash.Making sure nopony is around you remove the grate as quietly as you can from the ventilation system and climb in.It take a few wrong turns and some bruising of your elbows and knees, but you eventually find a vent that looks out along the interior of the hanger. You notice that you're up high, but you recognize what looks like Spearmint and Flush in from of some kind of makeshift throne. You can hear talking below, but it's too quiet for you to make out what they're saying.

You first look around in the vent. From what you can tell the portion of the vent you are in runs most of the way down the length of the hanger with 5 more grates leading to the hanger ahead of you, all of them at the same dangerous height. You try to see if the other side has the same kind of vents, but you can't tell, but you do remember the vent branching off toward where you would think offices and locker rooms for the hanger would be. Turning your attention back to the hanger, you see that there are ponies all over poking around. Most of the room is dark, though several lights and fires have been set up to keep the room partially illuminated. Most of the vehicles in the room look like they are mostly left in one piece, though a few of them appear to be stripped down.Spearmint looks like she is laying down with her head low to the ground, while Flushbolt seems to be curled into a ball. They're talking about something, but no matter how closely you listen, you can't quite make it out. Suddenly you see something get up from the makeshift throne and spread it's wings. It stepped down toward Spearmint, and you heard Flushbolt cry out in pain. It takes a while for you to notice, but it looks like a piece of pip is being levitated near Flush who is holding his nose. The magic keeping it in the air is odd, it doesn't seem to emit much or any light. After Flushbolt is hit, you can hear Spearmint screaming something out, You still can't make out what she's saying but she is crying. You look closer at the grate.tearing it down would make a lot of noise no-matter how you try to go about it... unless you can manage to unscrew it... Unfortunately, you don't exactly have a screwdriver on hoof.
Sorry about the late night posting, I had to drive to another town and back mid session to pick up family. Probably going to stop here unless I see a bunch of posts. I don't know, I should probably start sleeping healthy again.
>>30985603Welp she's dead. We have our crowbar. We can use the end of it to stick it into the screws possibly unless you need a Philips head. Take a shot at her.
>>30985603Take a very well aimed shot through the vent, if we miss shoot again and turn tail.
>>30985603Check the electric razor for batteries for the radio. If there are any then put some in the radio and double back to the throne entrance.
>>30985611good night
>>30985603So the radio only requires a single 9 volt battery. I hope the razor has two because I have two, sort of ideas that requires batteries.Idea #1 is sneaking back to when we entered the grate as fast as we can to insert the battery from the razor -after testing if the radio has enough juice to run on low volume first- then seeing if we hook up the subwoofer to the radio or some wall outlet in a close by room for some extra oomph. Blasting music loud enough for them to hear. Then we head back through the grate and close it. That should either draw her guards attention or the Queen herself away. Unfortunately it would also get everyone else's attention, it maybe that's a good thing for PB as well?Idea #2 is my eraser bomb + the (chewed) gum to make it a sticky malleable bomb, but instead of a throw exsposive triggered by the combustion spell a second after, the eraser would be used as a tactical exsplosive that we could hide and detonate -with some degree of success- from plain sight. It requires to run a pair or thin wires through the mass of eraser and a battery or something to detonate it. Or maybe some magnet. I think sub woofers have those. If we go for idea 1, we could use the loud distraction to use the bolt cutters to cut the vent shutters off and use the rest of the cable to rappel down. Then maybe strategically lay the eraser trap somewhere.Your thoughts guys?
>>30985780I think the first one sounds cool but I don't thing we should remove the grate since it is also obscuring us from view.
>>30985780 me again>>30985603Can you tell me about the hibachi grill and the hoof care file? What parts does the grill have? Is the hoof file the cheap kind or metal sharp ones? And what about the oil lamp? Surely the oil container could be removed from the lantern itself?
>>30985793Hey I'm just still open to diplomacy and a little Hitman style environmental manipulation of items and strategic placements. And there's no guarantee we can shoot the queen from this distance with the pistol, though maybe we can brace it against the grate a bit. But still. There's a Chance we'll miss or only injure her. Then we'd be fucked.Ok some more ideas? Sneak inside using the radio distraction. Place a hidden bomb under her throne. Talk to the queen some more as she probably won't outright kill us. If negotiations fail then detonate bomb discretely.Another is guns blazing using the pistol or improvised bomb, the thermite, and later oil as our weapons.
>>30985603Should we try to go back and get the nail file and inspect the the grill and emergancy lantern? In any case time is of the essence.
>>30985603>>30985640>>30985661what is the range on our hoofgun. I'm concerned that our shots would not be effective if we tried to shoot her from here.
>>30985603I think we should get outta that vent and get near that room. I have a less feasibile idea of setting a thermal bomb to drip down on the Queens head.
>>30985661>>30986557So you guys really want to go in guns blazing huh? There's the high possibility that we might miss at this range, then we're fucked with a side dish of 'I'll kill your friends if you don't show yourself 11-54'. I give it a good 20 meters away from here, could be more.If we don't score a head shot, then the Queen has enough time to call her guards or attack us directly with magical might. And you'll have to get lucky with a body shot. Like hitting the spine, heart or lungs tier lucky. We're fucked anyways you put it if we're going for a full on assault because the other *ponies* just won't sit there and let us do what we want willie nillie.
>>30986862actually that's what I was trying to point out. a pistol would not have the range to try to shoot her from this vent.
Current suggested plans of actions as I see it:>Use crowbar tip to use as improvised screwdriver to open grate then take a shotIt wont work. Too big and too small. And she would see Pepper?>Aimed shot through the gap in the vent and hope for the best. Flee if you miss the shotDoesn't sound like a very good idea. On the chance that that she know's it's Pepper she could taunt her and threaten to kill Spear. Regardless if the Queen is killed or not the shot will be noticed by a lot of people. We'll get agroed but that might be good for PB to make things easier for her.>Sneak back out and find a battery to power radio and blast music to attract attention away from the inside of the hangarMay or may not work as it is dependent on a single key component>Go back and grab a few things to make bombs and to use as weaponsThe eraser bomb if we want to use up all the bullets, a small container of flammable oil, and thermite. Bomb shouldn't take no more than a few minutes to make at most. If we really want to take the time to go back and craft. Who knows what will happen if we leave. Maybe something, maybe nothing. Maybe Spear dies or she doesn't. We will see soon enough.>Related to radio distraction, plant the bomb somewhere to either kill the Queen immediately or if we fail diplomacy rollif you're trying to be diplomatic... do you want to try diplomacy? You're not even sure really.May or may not work. Bath did offer it as a solution so who knows.Other queued stuff:>Details of grill and file>Range of pistol>Oil from the emergency lantern>>30986756Yeah? Let's hear the rest of your plan. There's also the possibility that the Queen asks someone else to open the door for her, or she tells you to come in stead of coming to the door herself. What if we throw it in her face and yell "POCKET SAND!"? I like to think she wouldn't know it's thermite ,then we'd only need to graze her with a little bit of the combustion spell to make her toast.
>>30985661I've cooled off a bit, if the range looks greater than the gun is meant for let's keep crawling through the vent sand maybe find a better place to shoot from.
>>30987634This could also be the only vent that leads into the hangar. Who knows if further down the vent it will lead up or down. It is unlikely there will be a section of ventilation that slopes down at a walkable degree.
>>30987634>>30988188>You try to see if the other side has the same kind of vents, but you can't tell, but you do remember the vent branching off toward where you would think offices and locker rooms for the hanger would be.
>>30985603let's explore more of the vents and see if the offices or lockers are unoccupied and easier to enter and exit. Do not make a sound and please don't do anything stupid like trying to shoot her.
>>30989902Tearing piece of the shirt and wrapping them to the hooves might help muffle them if you bundle it up on the middle. Or tear smaller peices.
>>30985603if we decide to build and use a bomb we should maybe plant it on one of the craft if it's still armed with rockets and ammo and blow that up. The explosion should take out the queen and most other possible hostiles.>>30989944also this.
>>30985603have we checked the slide on the gun yet? if it looks too hazardous to use we might have to use the bullets as gunpowder instead.
>>30985603>>30986756This was me, my vote is explore more to get a closer look either in or out of the vent.Keep in mind this Queen has some supernatural abilities, she may have already sensed us, she may not even be fully corporeal and actually down there right now.

Which is probably best because you're sure that if she did, she'd be a dead mare. You begin moving away from the hanger, watching Flush get beaten is starting to wear thin on you. You think back on the grill lantern and file and clippers. The file is metal and fairly thick, the lantern had some kind of oil sitting in it's bottom part, and the electric razor had a rechargeable battery that was dead., but you did see the charger next to it.You un-roll your sleeves and let your hooves get covered by the excess material to muffle the sounds of your hoof-steps, even if it does make it a little harder to walk. You consider tearing them off and tying them to your hooves but, You don't want to lose a sleeve, as silly as that might sound. That being said you're stepping softly anyway. After a bit of navigating through the vents you find what looks like a locker room. Inside is dark and the grate is fastened down tight. >As you look around you can hear somepony talking, "Do you think he imagined it?">"The queen seems to think he was telling the truth.">"Could you imagine two of you?">"I don't think I want to.">"Do you think you'd both like the same things or would the other you have different preferences?"Yeah, wearing your shirt like this is very uncomfortable, you should probably just tear off the sleeves...

Use the fire to cut some long stands of tour tail to make string. Then try to make shoes out of the cut cloth and tail string.
>>30990742There are still four other ventilation shafts to explore.I kind of want to listen in on their conversation to determine if we can do some negotiation with them. You can make out a bulletin board that appears to be ruined but not much else. The two ponies don't seem to be moving, like they are guarding the locker room. They continues to talk to each other about what they would do with two of themselves or more. Eventually you grow tired of this and start retracing your steps back to where you left the supplies you found earlier. As you begin trying to cut your sleeves off as quietly as possible, you hear some voices outside the door. Peering out, you see a unicorn and a pegasus talking in the middle of the hallway.>The unicorn sobs, "...then they're going to burst through the door and lock me in the room and punish me for being naughty! I don't wanna go back 37!">"Calm down, it's just like the last time. everything will be fine. if things get bad, we just have to die. I'm here, you're gonna be okay just.">The unicorn continues sobbing, before crying out, "I don't wanna go baaack!">"Do need some water?"The unicorn nods back between sobs.>"Come on, lets get you some water.">"I, I just need a moment. I can't move.">"Come on, get up.">"No I can't." >"Don't make me do it. I don't want ta order you.">"I can't move! I can't breath! They're gonna get me!"The pegasus heavily sighs and drops to his flanks.
>>30991505I really wish we could just say " put a wing over her and sing something you idiot. ''
>>30991505Fuck, I hate to say this but Spear can (probably) be reborn. PB can't. Let's go back to her.Maybe it's time to work with the robots, we'll do what they want to ensure Spears saftey?
>>30991750>Spear can (probably) be reborni recall a problem going on with the machines a while back. with pepper as the new one, i think spear just isnt covered by the good ol respawning pod insurance anymore
>>30991750I think Spear would be just as dead as PB if she died.
>>30991505>>30991761>>30991966Yea, that (probably) was just wishfull thinking. lets keep moving for now.
>>30991505Try hugging man's petting. That seems to help. Either of you two Got a cup on you? I could get you water right now.
>>30991505Try hugging and mane petting.a lite affection might help. Either of you two Got a cup on you? I could get you water right now.
Hey guys. Ever wonder if the respaen things only gives people a respaen warranty of ten years, or is that only for clones that ha e managed to survive for that long?
>>30916429I wanna fuck that stallion in the ass.
>>30991505Urge.....to help....rising. She's like a worse case of Spear.
>"Well Pepper... I've been thinking about that.If you give me everything you don't need while... dealing with the queen, I can go scout out the hanger we're trying to get to. Maybe get our escape set up while you're doing what you need to do. On the other hoof, I could always help you go in guns blazing... even if we're almost out of bullets.">Will you bring PB with you or let her go to scout out the hanger while you confront the queen?Guys. Maybe we should be less discreet about this. PB was expecting us to go in loud while she snooped around. What do? Do we cause a commotion to make sneaking easier for PB, or do we continue sneaking and hope we bump into her? If only we had a radio or something.
>>30992815I'd rather have a direct route to the queen before we go loud.
>>30992903Could you elaborate further
>>30992945When we raise the alarm, the entire army of militant children will descend upon us. So, it'd be better to wait until the last possible moment to let ourself be known.
>>30992975And what about PB?
>>30993006As far as we know PB is still safe. Even if she's not she has the gun and armor to defend herself as much as possible.
>>30991505Not to sound edgy as fuck, but keep in mind these guys don't even mind dying, we could be picking them off as we go. Considering that the queen is currently torturing two of them, I dont think diplomacy is going to get us far with her.
>>30993155>but keep in mind these guys don't even mind dying, makes me wonder if maybe we should sabotage bio-processing. Or rig it with a bomb and threaten to blow it up if they don't release our friends.would take a lot of time but it might be the type of leverage we need.
>>30993189That'd take days. I'd rather take the queen hostage and force her to order the others to stand down.
>>30993457>I'd rather take the queen hostagegood freaking luck.
>>30993477She ain't bullet proof. We just gotta be able to get in melee range and be ready to pull the trigger at even the slightest disturbance.
>>30993507she has mind powers and is stonger than the usual pony. Are you sure that would work when these ponies are not afraid of death?
>>30993523They don't fear death, but it is certainly a major inconvenience to them.
>>30993547Are you willing to risk our chance to free flush and spear on the slim chance holding a gun to her head would even work?
>>30993576It's not like we have many options in the first place. The only things I can think of are regular negotiation, aggressive negotiation, waiting until the queen is done and she decides to imprison them rather than kill them, or siding with the AI and praying the war gives us a chance to rescue them and that's if they aren't already dead after so long.
>>30993189I've always liked that icea.
>>30991505keep waiting and listening. once we are done cutting the sleeves let's check on spear and flush again and the vent that goes to the office.
>>30993814adding to this, i also wouldn't mind just sabotaging it. As soon as we make them mortal they'll become suddenly too afraid of dying to risk it.However time is an issue, so there's the problem there.
>>30993845Also, once the AI wins the war, it'll than go around capturing everybody. Including us and our friends.
>>30993914That's why we double cross the AI, nah we aint got time for that, lets just keep scootching along till we find a way out of that vent or double back.
>>30993845 do you know Lods ? He cares about éducation
Currently I'm seeing try to talk with these two ponies, attempt to set up some traps while you're still hidden / look for another way into the hanger 1, Sabotage Bio-processing, and hope that they don't do something horrible to Spearmint while you're gone. What are we going to go with. Also just as an aside, the clock radio does have an alarm function.that you can set
>>30994643>Sabotage Bio-processingHow many weeks do you expect us to spend on this?
>>30994643I like to see how the vent to the office looks before deciding anything.
>>30994687Honestly, this quest has no set pace. As much as I want to see a resolution to this so Pepper and her friends can move on, I also don't want to force the quest ahead to an abrupt and ill-thought ending like Entrapment. You, the players can choose to do whatever you think Pepper should. I'm just going to dish out the consequences of any of your choices as fairly and logically as possible.
>>30994643>PUT IT N
Also, to let you know I won't be able to start until later tonight and I'll likely be gone tomorrow night and the next day. I was going to try to put out an update right before I had to go in to tide the thread over for some progress until later tonight, but I couldn't decide what action to go with. >>30994719Trying to explore your way to the offices is doable, but I will warn you that by the time you do, this particular pair of ponies will have moved on. But then again, there a a bunch of the queen's ponies in this area, and the other individuals may be more/ less helpful depending on how lucky you are. Also I may remind you that you have also yet to talk to 21-12 herself, but I can't tell you if that's a good or bad thing at this time.
>>30993189>makes me wonder if maybe we should sabotage bio-processing. Or rig it with a bomb and threaten to blow it up if they don't release our friends. How about fucking no? Sabatoging is a game over if you haven't been paying attention, and we don't have a remote detonator.>>30993457>That'd take days. It's on the same fucking floor stupid.>I'd rather take the queen hostage and force her to order the others to stand down.So you think taking the queen is a better idea than blowing up the bio-possess, both of which are terrible ideas with the hostage one being the lesser of two evils? Fantastic.>>30993507That implies you want to go in there with all the ponies. And you're not taking into account them possible killing or Spear and Pepper.>>30993934By the point you sabatoge the bio processing the deal would have been fufilled, so double crossing is impossible. The better acomedations reward for the A.I. would then be rendered null and we would receive no benifits.
>>30994643>>30994798>>30991505Does go anywhere else other than to hanger area?if it connects to other rooms in this hall we can sneak out further down and then approach and try to talk them and if they seem hostile w run away give them the slip and be safely back in the vents.
>>30994798I want to talk to them. If anything we can silently kill them and feed the to some of the monsters to dispose of the bodies. All it takes is a noose and allowing gravity to do the rest.Use some cables to tie nooses and a lasso. Or I guess we could just ite their muzzled and limbs.
>>30994895That seems pointless. If they turn hostile then that means they will alert people. We should kill them instead on the chance they will work against us.
How come no one wants to try diplomacy and negotiation?
>>30994958I want to.
>>30994798One guy wants to look for the vent that may lead to the office. Two to three wants to talk to them in various ways. One wants to put it in.
>>30991505>>30994643Charge the battery for the clock and finish cutting the sleeves. Are those two guarding this hall or is only one going to?if it's just one we can more easily talk to them.Do we have any zipties left if we need to use them?
>>30994958The queen currently being engaged in torture swayed me, but I'm not actively against any strategy. Actually I do think the Leroy Jenkins one is a bad idea, so not that.
>>30991505>>30994643Is there a way we could prepare some zip ties if we don't have any? that way if we have to knock anypony out we can leave them tied up.
>>30991505>>30994643if the pony outside fails to console the pony we might talk them. And try to be non-hostile. if they fight we take em out.otherwise let's stick to the stealth approach.
>>30994643where else do these vents go? do they go to other rooms in this hall? how long will the battery take to charge?
You can tell that the pegasus must have dealt with this sort of thing before and doesn't really enjoy it. Instead of trying to command her to do as he says, the colt gives up with a heavy sigh and just places a hoof on her and begins stroking while he gives her some comforting "shh"s. You decide it's best not to disturb them and give away your position and climb back into the vents. After finding a couple of deadly looking drops you finally navigate to a part of the vent that opens into an office. Suspiciously, you also see that not only is the grate only held on by a single screw, but there seems to be some fairly old meat and a piece of one of those pokey plants soaking in a plastic tub of water.
>>30996861Somebodies secret base. On a side note, were there any exits to that locker room besides the one that was being guarded?
>>30996861hmm. what do we see in the office itself? Also did we peak on Flush and spear again while in the vents?
>>30996861A door, or maybe that's a cabinet on he wall. Some desks with paper. A folding table with a laptop and something round. How far is the drop down? Can we see without the light?
>>30996861did the battery finish it's charge or is it still going?
>>30996861Can Pepper remember the layout of the hanger so we have a map we can plan with?
>>30996954well we have this. but I agree. A new mental map might be nice. do a whole rainbow six plan session.>>30978433
>>30996943You want to constantly move back and forth vents to check on batteries that are charges else where? Fucking wait man.
>>30996969just trying to clarify if we have it on ourselves or if we left it back there.
>>30996861Alright, lets get out and see where we are, what's outside the door?
>>30996861I hope we find an empty bottle somewhere. I want to get the remaining oil in that lantern.
>>30996861Do we hear anything?
>>30996861Undo the screw and take a look, and more importantly a listen, in the office.
>>30996861wonder if PB will be safe. we don't know how much Flush might've said other than there are two 11-54's.but then again maybe she just read his mind and he didn't actually say anything.
>>30997076>>30996861We don't need to remove the screw. We just need need to turn it to the side and slide out.
>>30996892>>30996918>>30996954>>30996963>>30996980>>30997006>>30997035>>30997076>>30997090>>30997105You left the razor charging in the room you entered the vent in.Listening carefully you can hear what sounds like the queen's voice echoing near by, but it is more faint than it was when you were above them. She sounds cold. You might not be able to hear what she's saying but although she is loud her tone is clinical and very authoritative. As you listen you begin thinking about Flush. Maybe he didn't crack under the pressure. Maybe she read his mind, but if that's the case couldn't she get what she wants from Spear without the same interrogation? What if she's just breaking Spearmint to make her loyal? Or what if Spear is too messed up to be read?.. OR maybe you don't understand how mind powers work. Either way, you're worried about PB. You just hope to goodness that she's kept herself hidden. In the office you see what looks like a wall mounted cabinet, some desks and various office supplies. You lift the grate and poke your head in to see a glow coming in from the office door to the hanger, you also spot a water-cooler and some large water bottles. There seems to be a mess in the room. the floor is covered in litter, but none of it smells that bad... or the smell of stagnate water and old meat is masking it, one of the two.
Also I need to sleep. Good night.
>>30997251night
>>30997238Looks like the office is the optimal position to attack from with a bunch of cover between us and the enemies. We can circle around to behind the throne form there with minimal contact if we're lucky.
>>30997238Now I'm even more suspicious about the locker room. Since it has only one entrance and numerous storage spaces, I think it might be used as some kind of secure storage are. An armory perhaps?
>>30997238I don't know what to do, if this was real life I'd just snap, walk in there and say why are you doing this? Please stop, why are you hurting ponies, I don't want anyone to be hurt. Then I'd start killing if that didn't work.Maybe I'd run in there, tk drag spearmint out of there and keep running. Maybe it would confuse everyone and they'd just let us go. Probably not, but it's a bitch to try and think straight after 10 plus days of extreme stress. We should probably just get closer though.
>>30997238Carefully drop down from the vent and search the desk. Anything of worth in it? Also get close to the barricade and peak and listen.
Just let the thread die guys. Bath said he will be gone today and tomorrow. Why don't we move suggestions and 11-54 discussions to the Sekrit or Bath discords?
>>30999306Bath discords, as in more than one. What is wrong with you people? No, whatever that's fine, far be it from me to judge anymore, but I'm not doing that. I just want to play CYOAs the classic way, I don't have time to sit around and talk about this stuff unfortunately.
>>30999547Sorry I ment the Sekrit, and the one bath discord.
>>30997238carefully move the grate and read the notes on the desk. Any useful things or information on the floor?
